PIC Programming Technologies

PIC belongs to the family of the modified Harvard architecture microcontrollers produced by the Microchip Technology wherein this is derived from PIC1650 developed by the Microelectronics Division General Instruments. PIC is referred to as Peripheral Interface Controller wherein the first parts of this family became available in the year 1976 and by 2013; the company has decided to ship about 12 billion individual parts, which will be used for varieties of embedded systems. Several PIC devices became popular both on hobbyists and industrial developers due to its lower cost, larger user base, and wide availability, extensive collection of the application notes, free development tools, re-programmable Flash-memory, and serial programming capability.
